Yesterday, Cyndi and I met up with Cassandra and Derek at the River Market in Little Rock for their engagement session. We had been trying to successfully photograph them for a while now, but with this crazy weather lately, we haven’t had a chance. Cassandra and Derek have to be two of the most fun, in love people we’ve ever photographed and they are extremely comfortable in front of the camera. I can’t wait for her bridal session this Friday and their wedding in March. Until then, here are my favorites from the shoot…

The first weekend of this month, Adam’s family came up to Rogers to celebrate Jen’s birthday (Feb 2nd) and Adam’s birthday (Feb 3rd) . Adam got some iTunes gift cards and a new shirt and tie. Jen got a gift card and some cash to buy some new clothes. Her friends also surprised her with an iPod, so they kind of showed us up!

Here are some shots of the party.

First of all, the awesome cake was from Shelby Lynne’s Cake Shoppe. We always get the chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting. (BTW - all brides should use them for your wedding cake!)

After lunch and cake, we headed to the living room for a little Guitar Hero!! OH YEAH! Adam’s mom, sister, and brother in law tried it for the first time. They were NOT good, but it was fun anyway.

We shot Isaiah’s portraits in downtown Rogers last weekend.  Isaiah is the son of our friends Natalie + Kevin.  You might remember Natalie as a bridesmaid in Rebecca + Aaron’s wedding back in June.

I seriously love this kid!  He had so much fun during his session and I think it shows in his photos.

He was so proud that he climbed up to the top of this structure.  The thing you don’t know is that he feel on the way down, busting his lip and staining his jeans.  He was such a trooper though, and didn’t let it affect him.      

On Saturday, we participated with First Security Bank in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kids’ Sake. As most of you know, I still have a day job at FSB and Adam came along with us to play on our team. Several banks in NWA participated and we raised over $10,000 for this wonderful cause.

The Eagle of Metropolitan National Bank challenged Penny Pockets of First Security Bank to see who could raise the most money and who had the most spirit. They won, but that’s okay.
